What We Do

1)  UCCA provides food, referrals and services to Elmhurst District 205’s most financially disadvantaged children and their families in an effort to fight hunger.
2)  UCCA takes great pride in the fact that 97% of all funds collected go to feed those in need in our own community.

UCCA Makes a Difference


  • UCCA mails grocery gift cards to each family three times a year.  In addition to that, this year UCCA sent three COVID-19 emergency relief mailings of food gift cards totaling almost $37,000 to District 205 families.
  • UCCA sponsors the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry, providing families with meats, vegetables, and other groceries, as well as cleaning products, several times each year.  During the 20-21 school year, UCCA provided COVID-19 emergency support to area families at six additional Mobile Food Pantries held between March and August, 2021.
  • UCCA provides several boxes of food, including a holiday meal box with a turkey, as well as grocery gift cards, to each family during the holidays.
  • UCCA supplies grocery gift cards to Elmhurst District 205 social workers for emergency distribution to families throughout the school year.
  • UCCA maintains and distributes a referral list of local agencies that provide assistance in various other ways.
  • UCCA contributes grocery gift cards to identified seniors three times each year.
